On June 30, two CTP 2.0 high-end battery pack production lines of CATL at the SERES Factory were officially put into operation. This is CATL's first base in Chongqing, in which an "Embedded Manufacturing" cooperation model was applied for the first time to locally produce and supply power battery systems for AITO models.

"The production lines put into operation today are some of CATL's most advanced intelligent and digital production lines," said Robin Zeng, Chairman and CEO of CATL. This marks not only the beginning of CATL's local production in Chongqing, but also a new starting point for the cooperation with AITO.

Zhang Xinghai, Chairman and Founder of SERES Group, pointed out that the high-end batteries exclusively provided by CATL for AITO series models officially put into production at SERES Factory is of milestone significance for AITO vehicles. "An AITO high-end intelligent electric vehicle with a high-end battery exclusively designed and manufactured by CATL is just like an outstanding horse with an excellent saddle."

As one of China's flagship new luxury car brands, AITO has equipped all of its models with CATL batteries since its establishment, and now has cumulatively brought 700,000 units to market. As one of the industry's leading benchmark factories globally, the SERES Factory has four defining characteristics: high efficiency, intelligence, cutting edge technology, and environmental friendliness. This commissioning of CATL's "Embedded Manufacturing" model will further help AITO improve production and delivery speeds and shorten lead times. Furthermore, CATL will also leverage its advantages as a zero-carbon technology company to assist SERES in building a complete green automotive value chain and strengthen the global brand profile of zero-carbon intelligent manufacturing.

Previously, the two sides had expanded their cooperation to the zero-carbon field by jointly building and connecting to the grid the SERES Factory Phase I 50MWh Distributed Photovoltaic Project, providing core renewable energy for the factory. In the future, CATL and SERES will work together to deepen strategic coordination in fields such as product research and development, new technology implementation, and new material application; promoting the green and low-carbon transition of the whole industrial chain, and leading China's new energy automobile industry chain to a new stage of higher-quality development.
